I will continue to use my Tipton carbon fibre cleaning rod happily, just finished up with it in fact. Your concern is valid but I check it over for nicks before use and I don’t get all rammy jammy with it because I understand the material. The carbon fibre arrows I and just about everyone else uses with compound bows are far more dangerous IMO.
