I think you did the right thing for him in the long run. Like others have said, there is a bit of a transition and certainly some frustration (especially when you just bought a brand new bow!)...but worth it for sure. I shot RH for many years. Made the switch and an added benefit is I can now shoot from both sides  but still prefer LH
