About 30 years ago on the farm we had a dog that loved to hunt muskrats - she'd bring one home almost every day, lay it on the doorstep and wait for the praise to be heaped upon her.
One day, I suspect she figured she hit the jackpot with this humungous 'muskrat' that turned out to be a beaver. It to about 40 stitches to put her back together again, it damn near gutted her.
