Been doing backcountry hunts since I was 15 it’s not that expensive if your not a gear junky
. I do own a few fancy comforts though filter, stove good pack and tent. I would bet a lot of guys burn more $ in fuel road hunting in one season then my backcountry gear cost. When I did fly ins then backcountry got expensive
But honestly I don’t mind a mid day road hunt to warm up between those really cold sits hunting Whitetail. If a guy wants to do it all season and he enjoys it have at it it’s their hunt to enjoy
It’s definitely not cheap these days
