I own both the .204 is a GREAT round, but it is louder and requires about 20 more grains of powder. the BC on the v=max 25 gr. bullet and the V-max 40 gr. bullet in the two rifles is for all intent and purposes the same .230. both do what they need to do the .204 only does it a bit farther away
