It's a solid "OKish"... you're not going to see hordes of deer like that 02-06ish timeframe but they're still out there. Big buck sightings will be few. If you work hard and hunt smart you can definitely score on a respectable buck and maybe even get one of the real big ones that has managed to evade the last few years of hunters and pull through last winter.
