Monsanto ordered to pay $289M to man with cancer in the first of over 400 cases filed under U.S. federal MDL (multidistrict litigation) laws. According to the articles, the decision hinged on the fact that internal Monsanto documents showed that their executives were aware of the link between their products and cancer in humans, but chose to hide the information.
If true, it also highlights the level of incompetence/corruption in the U.S. EPA.
