When my boy was in kindergarten, he drew a pic of himself out with me, shooting at paper targets. The teacher took his drawing away and called him a liar for saying he was out shooting. She was on the phone with me that afternoon, despite knowing that I am both a hunter and fellow teacher, all upset that my son was telling lies. When I informed her that my son's drawing was legit, that he had been out shooting the previous weekend, she hung up the phone and called the police. The EPS guys were awesome, no complaints from me. But, the bird-brained teacher actually called 911 to report me, believing that it was against the law for my son to fire a rifle. After she called EPS and did not get her way, she then called Children's Services. So, we were again investigated for child endangerment. Had to refer the social worker back to the previous week's investigating officers from EPS. Things got worse when I filled my bear tag. 911 and Children's Services were involved again.
