I had to have a ton of things reset by the dealer. If you unhook the battery, you will be able to start the car when you get back as you have experienced, but the car (mine at least) still thinks the battery is dead so you still have all the reset issues. Had to reset things like hill assist, other driving assists, the clock, the radio, etc. etc.
