A good protion of this 30-06 will live a life of soft loads when target shooting, the only time it will see hammer rounds will be during harvest season.
The 147/150 gr won't have much zip as I'll most likely be loading to the 308 lesser factory spec.
Re-coil won't be drastic as the rifle will get the softer butt pad, I normally have an extra pad when plinking.
Did more sight seeing at dealers today checking prices, so by'ed-ing my time will pay off.
Seen 2 Remmy Long ranges with 26" mid weight barrles that are not over cost.
Looks like they come in 25-06, 270 I think, 30-06, and 7mm...
They are a-lot like the mid barrle 243/ 308 remmy with the 20" barrles.
Only time will tell what plays out in the next few weeks as 30-06 plan falls into place.
Who knows, maybe the BDL 700 could end up finding its way too my door step.
