We talked with conservation officers and they both said that the castle wild land provincial park and the castle provincial park were closed, but north of the pass was still open. I ask them why was it not closed at the beginning of August as it was just as dry and this was their reply "we wanted the general public to enjoy the out doors" to which I replied "are hunters not the general public". I also had mentioned that there are a lot less people using the forestry during hunting season then users using the forestry during camping season. Sorry that's how it is. Our next stop was to the provincial building in pincher creek and was told a totally different story about the closures. Everything from chain lakes to Watertown including the porkies.
