As a die hard single malt scotch guy, I can tell you it rocked my universe...but the Kavalan is amazing, top shelf, and you just need to accept that it comes from the Orient! I would suggest you find a bottle of the sherry cask, or the Vinho barrique (they use a California red cask). Be prepared to drop $250 or so, and make sure you get the Solist line (cask strength)...I neglected to mention that in previous post.

I'm almost ashamed by how much I like it....enjoy that glenfarclas. It's a beauty too!
