(Alpha Brass is to expensive to sacrifice). When Hornady supplies some factory ammo up in Canada I will get one cut. I am bit clumsy with taking the bolt apart to do the Eric Cortina method where you remove the firing pin and just reduce the COAL until the bolt closes. I honestly dont trust myself to put it back together safely. I use a Trigger Tech diamond set very low so I am nervous that the sear engagement may not be right if I dont put the firing pin back properly. Dont want to have it do slam fires.
You need to get the Hornady tool to measure CBTO.

My starting point has always been a jump of .010”. From .22 cal right up to .50 cal. It’s worked for me. And the difference as you get closer to the lands is very noticeable. Of course, you sacrifice mag length as you get longer.
