For trucks electric only just will not work for a whole bunch of reasons and manufacturers know this.
Gas /electric and diesel/electric sort of like diesel/ electric u boats and trains can work but are expensive.
Alberta is pushing hydrogen because you use natural gas to make hydrogen. This technology probably will work. Cummins is investing heavily into this but its going to be more expensive than a regular diesel truck.
You know you can convert cars to run off of natural gas. Its clean technology. But the we hate Alberta crowd is a against natural gas industry and fracking.
