Just another drop in the bucket, or should I say dump in the outhouse for the City of Champions. Let's not forget the $24 million spent on building the wondrous funicular. With annual operational expenses and repairs anywhere between $350k and $700k, that's a substantial chunk of change for something that's amounted to nothing more than a travelling outhouse.
I'd like to have the opportunity to take over our glorious civic leaders' personal finances, and spend "their" money on ludicrous things that serve no real purpose. Most of their financial decisions are akin to using wax paper for toilet paper, it accomplishes nothing more than wasting money and making a mess of things.
