Don't get discouraged with the season or moon. You probably won't be catching 30 fish per day but it's still a pretty fun fishery. I've had good luck with slower and smaller presentations when the lakers get sluggish in February.
Dunno if you're able or interested, but night fishing for lake trout can be very lucrative when the daytime bite is slow
