This is a typical left wing socialist trying to rewrite history based on his opinion. His claim that history does not repeat is directly out of the socialist hand book. We should give socialism one more try....in spite of it historically failing time and time again.
This is why the left is tearing down statues and rewriting history. It doesn't fit it's narrative. Our western nations were built on the backs of strong men and warriors. They fended for themselves, their families and their country. They serve no purpose in a socialist agenda. They are now being rewritten into history as violent oppressors.
History is not an opinion or study of the perceived mental state of the characters involved. It is a factual study of historical events as documented by the participants. Obviously the oppressed write a slightly different story than the aggressor but just as obvious is the actual events that shaped a nation.
This "Professor" starts in the present as he sees it and then twists the events to prove his theory. This is fine for the sciences but has no place in a historical debate. Think about what a poor snapshot in time this present day is to use as a starting point for any intelligent discussion. The left have literally debunked the laws of science and biology to fit their narrative. Do you really believe that history is immune to their idiocy?
History is a study of the past, so we can understand the present and reflex upon the future. It must start in the past and work forward.
Nation's borders ebb and flow throughout history based solely on that nations ability to protect them. We know this from studying history. Ignoring this fact is not a fresh look at history, it is the beginning of the end of your nation.
This is a left wing ideologist living in a country under full evasion due his elected government's negligence in protecting it's borders. He should not be allowed to address impressionable youth on any subject, let alone the creation of nations.
