Not only that but their Peso is worth so little that it has almost no value and is volatile so most places won’t even give you a value for currency exchange. I have a friend who travels there semi regularly from Europe who said you can’t get the local Peso outside of the country and basically anything you exchange in the country to Pesos stays there as no one will exchange it back. Euro and USD are the currencies of choice. And there’s a whole black market currency exchange system there. Even folks in Argentina who do make fairly decent money through their businesses have a hard or almost impossible time to exchange it for anything else so they may be well off in Argentina, but can’t exchange it to use outside of the country (for vacations or to leave).
