1 inch of twist rate really doesn't matter too much, it depends on the in dividual barrel.
I sold friend a M70 Match rifle in 308 Winchester a few years back, wonderful gun. Factory 1:10 twist , and the previous owner ,Ed Begg of Vbull Presicion ( RIP) Used to run 200 plus grain Berger Juggernaut in it in F/TR.
However, many of the 308 F/TR guns are being made in 1:11 these days.
My two pre 64 Winchester 3006 rifles are in 1:10.
