Boat Launches
Hi, I realize this is two years old, but I am unfamiliar with this lake - and I am trying to find the boat launches. So I have some ??
Shelter Bay is on the NE corner of the lake? (I'm looking at satellite view of Google maps)
Can the public use the MLCS boat launch? Can the general public camp there?
Where was the old provincial campground?
why did the province close it?

There are actually three boat launches at the lake. Marie Lake Camping Society (MLCS) is commonly referred to as "the military campground", Shelter Bay, and the old provincial campground west side by the old mink farm. Of the three MLCS and Shelter Bay are the most easily accessed via maintained roads. The old provincial campground is for the adventurous who want the extra thrill of adventure via off-roading. It is not recommended for access unless via a quad or SxS and a boat more than a 14 ft tinner, canoe, or inflatable boat. The old access road has been severely degraded since its closure approximately 20 years ago if correct.
Access to Borque Lake is very similar to Marie Lake.[/QUOTE]
