Air Canada rant
So I have had a flight booked with AC for my son and I to go fishing for several months. He was unfortunately hurt pretty bad recently (vertabrae fractures) and is unable to go on this trip. So I have found someone else to take his spot. I phoned AC to change my sons name to my friends name... sounds like a simple change. "Sorry we cant do that, as of Jan 2023, we no longer allow names changes... I asked how that makes any sense. They already have my money, how is it so inconvenient that they simply can't change a name? 'Sorry those are the rules, he says..."
I have asked for somebody above his pay grade to call me as this is not satisfactory with me. So now I get to wait 24-48 hours for a call.
Has anyone tried changing a name on a flight and had success (with Air Canada)?
I went against my internal rule of never booking with AC again because they actually fly into Rupert Vs Terrace. It seems I am already regretting this decision and I haven't even got on the plane.
God, do I hate Air Canada...
