Just as quick followup. I had good success running this Windows 10 File Recovery tool:

Don't be too intimidated by the DOS window. It's a one-line command to start the recovery process:
winfr H: C: /extensive /n *.JPG /n *.JPEG
It recovered the corrupted files off my H: drive and dropped them into a recovery folder on my C: drive. It's a bit slow but finished up in 10 min for an 8GB card.
