Firstly, happy anniversary CB and Mrs CB! Thirty nine years is no mean feat. As I’m certain you’ll attest to. Lol
Mrs Tree and I recently celebrated number 19. I was fortunate enough to be in town that weekend as this year has been insanely busy with field work.
We initially considered a weekend in the mountains, but it was limited in terms of availability and obscenely expensive.
Ultimately, what we opted for was a ‘staycation’. Booked a fancy room at the Fairmont Paliser in downtown Calgary, strolled the zoo previous to check in on a beautiful day, had a fancy supper at Ruth Chris’s in the tower next door then strolled Stephen Avenue. It was awesome.
One doesn’t have to go far to feel far.
