My wife has used a .270 with full loads for years and she shot it well.
My 13 year old daughter used it this past fall for her first year deer hunting. I picked up some Hornady 120 grain SST Lite Recoil rounds for her. She shot them well and was shooting good groups with the .270.
She tried a 7mm-08 with full load 139's and said the recoil was a bit uncomfortable for her compared to the .270 light recoil rounds.
I like that she can shoot the light recoil rounds for a couple seasons and then step up to full loads down the road when she's comfortable or when she wants to go after moose or elk....
