If you look at the actual stats here, gas, though it fluctuates has remained pretty stable for the last 10 years.

I’m more concerned with my grocery bill, which has increased 50% in the last 10 years.
And my utilities bill, though that I blame more on privatization than actual increases in commodity prices.
