He is wrong, things are way worse now because the internet/social media has become the great influencer, and way too many people buy into everything posted without critically thinking about the info or opinion they are being presented.
Look at the damage Manson did with a guitar and a warped mindset, and people actually had to interact with him to hear his schtick. Imagine if he had a website/you tube channel..
