You might wanna try something lighter than 160’s, for the simple reason that if the rifle is a short action you’ll be loosing a pile of case capacity due to seating the bullet pretty deep to function through the magazine. If the rifle is a long action, fill your boots.
I’ve found 4350 either prefix to be about as stellar of powder as you can use in the .284Win, although don’t discount 4831, 760/414, and I’d guess Hybrid 100 would be a dandy as well. I also like to run magnum primers in my .284’s as well.
