Every so often, when a crow or a magpie suddenly doesn't feel well, he may die but not fall to the ground. If he hangs up in the tree, all of his buddies will come along and yell at him. And all of their attention will be on their buddy. If I see one that is still hanging up in a tree, I will keep watch and try to make his buddies feel suddenly unwell.
