Saw him on the American Sportsman take his elephant and a Kodiak bear back in the early 60's , he was the reason I took up the bow - I even wore a Borsalino hat for years!
His stone sheep kill was epic , he had to short draw the bow to get that one!
Although I never met him , I consider Fred Bear to be one of the greatest influences of my hunting career .
