I have seen Sharptails as far north as Indian Wells, as far south as Police Outpost and the Wild Horse area, all up the Alberta Saskatchewan border to Whitney Lakes Provincial Park, and as far west as 30 miles east of Cadomin. Some years the numbers are insane. My best single flock is over 70 birds north of Red Earth Creek last year.

An awful lot of big game was killed with the .30-06 including the big bears before everyone became affluent enough to own a rifle for every species of game they might hunt.
