Both we all love to catch lots and generally when the catch ratio is higher the odds of a big one are greater. That being said having gone through the phases of lots then bigger then trophy hunting. You get to a point where you just want to enjoy the day afield with good company even if its just you. Catching a fish isn't do or die but you're no longer disappointed if you don't. Also the tug really is the drug. Ever take a newbie trolling or bottom fishing? They always want to hold the rod. Even a small fish awakens a spark in all of us if even for just a second.
