Yes they are, are very innovative as well especially due to friction-less designs. However, new designs are often found with flaws, as such with their design. However, they've stepped up to the plate and found a flaw and are seemingly willing to make good on it. It's not a real big deal as carbide rollers would have been found to be a good choice of material for a roller bearing. Carbide rollers would have been a great choice in terms of wear, however were not in terms of impact as far as recoil goes. At least that is my way of thinking. Thus, stainless rollers were chosen as an alternative. I personally would not let this recent recall scare me away from what I perceive to be a good product.
