what about optimal flatness it seems from what ive found out about 500 metre rams to get enough power to knock them over without too much recoil to affect shooting 6.5 to .308 caliber is used at speed between 2600 and 2800 thats a pretty narrow range for it to boil down to speedwise and not a very flat trajectory but apparently the best one. you might want flatter for hunting at unknown range even if its quite a bit shorter
