Case capacity of the .300 H&H is just slightly less than the WM. So recoil is pretty much identical if comparable loads are used. Just because factory H&H is loaded anemic a hot H&H load will kick just like any WM. Load either cartridge down and they will be *****cats.
FWIW I load my .300H&H to send a 200 grain at 2950 fps. This outperforms .300 WM factory ammo and the recoil is just the same.
