I helped raise lots of good kids and knew it all about child raising as a friend/uncle etc.
Until I had my own...
As for pets being considered children... give me a break! That always gets an eye roll from me.
If a dog is stolen it is called theft...a property crime...
Children... a whole different other world of hurt
