From some of the photos on trapping forums it looks doubtful if they could ever pass. Check it out.

Why are we even talking about humane trapping standards?

We do not choose them or have no say in them.
The standards are ridiculously high on purpose, because the intent never was to make trapping humane, there is no such thing as a humane way to die. The whole and only intent was to stop trapping altogether.

The simple fact is all trappers have always sought the quickest way to dispatch any animal they catch because it is in their economic interest to do so. And we did so long before there was a humane trapping standard.

Last but not least, this so called humane trapping standard was imposed on us by the European community who themselves were and continue to be the most inhumane towards animals of any population on earth.

We have always sought the most humane way to harvest our animals and we will continue to do so, with or without their self righteous rules, that they themselves do not have to follow.

Because they wiped out their fur trapping industry a long time ago.

Now they trap things like Hawks, Deer, and Rabbits, they imported to replace the wildlife they obliterated.
