yeah a fellow at work with a big boy 30-378 wb told me he was getting 5100-5500 fps out of his .i laughed and told him the only gun close to doing that is a 223 or 243 wssm, think the later at 4600 or so. told him my 204 goes 4100 fps, and no rifles shoot 5000 fps.
i think the germans had a artillery gun in ww1 called the paris gun that would fire its shells that fast though-first man made thing to reach the stratosphere i think.
