Thank you everyone for your replies. Jamie - you were right - lots of pm's. Brother1 - we don't have gophers or too many varmints because I have Jack Russells. We had a German Shepherd but he got hit by a truck while chasing a fox just before Christmas. (Fox hunting is allowed too.) Thank you everyone for your concern for my dog. She is very feisty and I think the coyote had a hard time hanging on to her and of course as soon as he let go of her, she immediately wanted to have a go at him... I'm going to have a look at all the replies that I got and talk it over with my husband and we will be in touch with some of you. I think that the coyotes in this area are quite "educated" so we want to make sure that whoever comes out is experienced.
