Coyote problem
My nephew lives in drayton valley has a big coyote problem wants to know if anyone has coyote traps for sale and what do you need to attract them with.he says he does not want to snare them scared he might catch a dog or cat.

Leg Hold traps are just as unsafe for dogs as snares and maybe more.
Use snares without locks 3/32 size and check every few hours ? |

Okay, they're called footholds because they catch by the foot, not the leg. Also, it is illegal to set a snare (even on your own property) if you don't hold a valid trapping licence. Which means you need to take the Alberta Trapper Education Course before attempting to snare. |
You can never keep up with wiping out coyotes .
When you think you got them all .The next following year , more move in . |
Good luck

coyote
You can thank Canada Goose for your coyote problems now. They were harvested in the thousands in Alberta before they quit using coyote fur for their expensive parkas. Now you are on your own, Good Luck!

I just seen on the fishing /hunting Calendar that they are having a Coyote purge Feb 30 -31 . I guess most sporting good stores are selling the two day licenses with big payouts . I almost missed it until i seen the fine print on those two dates on the calendar .

I always thot it a better idea to get away from the “foot hold” thing, stemming from “leg hold”… basic simple word association thing… not really accomplishing much… leg hold… foot hold
How about be accurate. Foot trap? Eliminates the word association and an accurately describes the traps for what it is. My thots…. What’s yours? |
