Field bred English Springer Spaniels

Hey,

Looking for a good breeder and any info you might have on a Springer pup.

Lost my old girl last month and I'm looking for a place to find another four legged hunting buddy.

Thanks.

Any info helps. I've found a few really good ones so far. Just looking to see what's out there.

Preferably in Canada.

I enjoyed the picture of the 10 Springers. Hard to believe they are All so keen in their kennel picture.

The one where they are all sitting still in the field is amazing. 10 springers sitting still all at once...thats not something you see everyday.

Had a ESS close to 30 years ago. He was a beast and a ton of fun to have. Beware of the energy of the ESS.

http://calgaryenglishspringerspanielclub.com/resources ... you might also search out Field Cockers ... or Sprockers or Welsh Springers

another site ... https://www.easternslopesspanielassociation.com/

I always liked long legs on my Field Springers, and I had a deaf one once that was bounced between 2 owners and no one wanted her ... with a little understanding and love she became an excellent member of the Family and a very good bird dog ... She learned all the hand signals of the hearing Spaniel and a bunch more ... I had these new Moms watch me in the park train her and they new she was deaf, but with every hand signal ( subtlety) i also blew on a dog whistle that had no sound anymore. ... they eventually asked me why I blew on the dog whistle because (Hope the dog) was deaf ... i told them it was a silent dog whistle for deaf dogs , and they all went home amazed .. about 4 days later they were all giving me the evil stare down as their husbands i am sure clued them in ... a good laugh eventually for all once they started talking to me again 3 weeks later....

Foxton Gundogs in Cedar BC.
Personally know this fellow and his dogs.
High end field performers - all hunting stock.
Excellent performance all round.

Cheers,
Nog

Another reference for Skaar, but a caveat; he has been a personal friend for over 40+ years. Skaar is constantly endeavoring to improve their dogs. Each of their pups is held from the instant they are born and until they are rehomed. Skaar and Mrs. Skaar pour a lot of love into each and every dog. You will get a started dog, a dog that loves to hunt, loves people and is biddable. The rest will be up to you!

Just looking at them brings a smile to my face. They sure look eager.

Can't add anything to this that the OP is looking for. That picture though. I had a Springer 40 years ago - that dog had no quit. If I let her she would hunt till she couldn't take another step
