2024 Salmon Forecast - "Best in Decades"

Hello and happy holiday season!

We just finished up our sport fishing meetings with Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the forecast for the next 4 or so years is "the best in decades." This is mainly due to extremely good ocean survival conditions for outgoing salmon from the river. As many saw, this past season Chinook, and even Coho, fishing was lights out. Best season we have ever had for Chinook. Apparently that will only get better next season and more 5 year old fish (which correlates with the start of the good ocean survival conditions) which means larger Chinooks as well. Take a hard look at our remaining June dates, this will be literally double header central for Chinooks with the forecast we have. Just a great time, then head out for halibut and lingcod. My favourite time to fish, most Chinook numbers wise, and least amount of boats! Very exciting with this news for the 2024 season.

Also an exciting time for our family. Brianna and I are expecting our first baby. Due just before the season starts thankfully, otherwise what chaos that would be! We are both very excited and from all accounts mother and baby are doing well and healthy so far. We do not know the gender yet but will in a few weeks. Either way we know he or she will be our future fishing and hunting buddy. Needless to say my Mom, Heather, is beyond excited to spoil her grandchild.

If you are thinking of coming this year, let us know. July has one date left, June has a handful and August has less than a handful. Come experience why we have one of the highest rebooking rates on the coast!! If any of you have any questions about a trip out in 2024, don't hesitate to ask!

Tight Lines, Merry Christmas, and hope to see you all in summer of 2024,

David
