Lake Newell Report
 

Hello all, we went out on Saturday and was met by ice fog and alittle wind. Could not get on the ice at the provincial park due to a ice heave. We went south of the PP and found another road in to the lake and was able to get on. We caught a total of 3 pike, all of which were returned to the lake as per regulations. We must have caught, 30 3-4 inch perch as well.

To be honest it was really crappy weather wise and that is probably why the fish were not biting. There is 4" of water on top of the ice near shore where you come on but if it stays cold this week that should freeze up again.
