Cover Me.

There's so many.
I really like GNR singing "knocking on heaven's door".
Axl belts it out when he was in his prime. Great Concert back in the 90's.
I turn it up whenever I hear it on the radio. Yes I said radio-remember those?

I saw this on here on AO first. "I won't back down"
Eddie can sing. I visit this vid from time to time.

Now, if Twisted Canuck comes on here and posts Shania Twain covering ACDC, I'm gonna hurl.
That was a dark day for AO TC. I said it then and I'll say it again, don't ever cover an ACDC song.
How about we post a cover of Pink Floyd? Hmm? Ya, I thought so!

How about Joe Cocker taking a Beatles and improving on it?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uQWnlEs9GU

Then he takes a Four Tops song and shows how it should be sung.

Always have to laugh when I see him perform....his moves are...... different. :D

Metallica covering Bob Segers On the Road Again a cover that IMO is better than the original, Headstones cover of Dillons Tweeter and the Monkey Man

Thanks for bringing back those memories.

Agreed, Baba Oreilly, and Rockin in the free world are among my favorite PJ covers.

joeya 02-12-2013 08:33 PM

Two of my favs were already mentioned, whiskey in the jar, and turn the page, both by Metallica, but another great cover is Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt" by nine inch nails.

Cal 02-12-2013 08:33 PM

Forgot about this gem, Mustard Plug doing The Freshman.

I'm thinking he hacked Indio's hard sun.

Indeed -- his cover is so close to the original, and the original is so hard to find, that it's almost criminal. And I say this as a huge EV/PJ fan.

If anyone has a complete copy of Indio's "Big Harvest" album (better still: a digital version), please PM me -- I've been looking for it for a long time. I only have the one song (Hard Sun)...

Best,

J.

Holly Mcnarland rocks that tune as well.....

I like Hurt by Johnny Cash and Linkin Park did a good job on Adeles Rolling In The Deep. Also, have to agree that Metallica did a great job on Turn The Page.
