Can any one that has been to Canoe Lake last year or this year advise me if the Cole Bay camp ground is still open. Have not been there since John died was wondering if still open. Would like to go this year.

20 plus years ago we hammered them there.

There must be someone up there you can phone.

Was there last spring, for just a day trip. Campground was open but no caretaker. Sign said to call band office to let them know you were there. The band is running it. We drove thru the campground for a look-see and the tables were all still leaning up against a tree. And I think North Haven is closed. Last summer I called several times and got no answer.

I did phone but the person at the town office did not seem to understand what i was talking about. It does seem to be used some what.
