Pillar and glass bedding question

Pillar bedding and glass bedding - best done as separate steps, or does it matter?

Of course there is more than one way to skin a cat .

I would suggest doing the pillars first

Just did a Remington with laminate stock definitely pillars first. Clean up mess then nice clean bedding area for glass bedding.

I always do the pillars first.

Then shoot and see.

Bed if necessary.

Give the rifle what it likes.

Good advice, Buckhead - I've considered them as being two halves of a whole, but I suppose you're right. Both may not necessarily be needed.

Good information ,something to consider before plllers and or bedding is points of pressure.

The point will depend on the tool that is being worked on.

Several threads have addressed this and many contributors to this forum have shared information.

The search function works ,but only if you understand it.:)

I posted my advise on pillaring and bedding. I didn't swear, nor did I offend. It got deleted. WTF did I do wrong?

I like to do it as a two step process but I know others who do it all in one shot and both have the same result if done properly.

LOL....no! But I think that I know what happened. I had typed a link to the Boyd's stock thread. When I pushed enter, that's likely when my Xplornet signal went down. No harm, no foul. :)
