Anyone else having problems with the new NAFA site this morning? Keeps coming up with an error message.

Was doin the same thing last night ..did get to see my lil shipment arrived tho

I just checked and the grades for my beaver and red fox are posted......no link to the catalogue though. My coyote and muskrat aren't showing yet.

Well for the first time in 20 years I've got 4 3xl beavers that graded eastern, every year I ship anywhere from 50 to 100 beavers and never had a eastern grade yet. Pretty cool anyway.

I have two Eastern Beaver as well......#911 and #112. One is a Black 3XL one that I put in that graded XD-DK for colour. I wonder if that had to do with it. The other was a LGE BR.

Top Lots are all *I for LGE to 3XL.

Nafa said later today or tomorrow for the Coyote catalog/lotting letters... man i hate the waiting :waiting4:

I never even looked at the smaller ones turns out I've got 3 lrge in eastern as well dave 2 In lot 108 and 1 in 111.
My bears all graded good as well, I cant wait for coyotes.

Not many #1 in the catalog this year. Little different grading than last year. Just about nothing but #2 in the catalog. My best one is lot #794 it's a select br or dk br cant remember.

I’m a happy camper. Looks to be one of the better batches of coyotes I’ve shipped. The move to only snaring pale southern yotes appears to be paying off.

Best one appears to be lot 131602 XL-LGE *SEL PL 1-2. Closest i’ve got to top lot.

Quick question. I have two lot 190001 and 190003. Are these just the display lots?

I have one in 190002. I think that's why they post them Saturday morning. Guys won't have to phone hot.

Anyone have theres sold as sample lot my pale coyote sold before auction and was shipped to italy on Wednesday? 4 sel 1 mink 3 coyotes .the one isnt in a lot i can find that sold

Looks like Marty was right about fewer coyotes in this sale. Only 51679 by my count and the preliminary report was for 70000. Hopefully fewer pelts = higher prices. :)

Overall fairly happy with the grades not as good as last year but knew that going in.

I think that's when a buyer wants a certain number or color or whatever and buys them before the auction than pays fair market value after the auction. I could be wrong but I thought that's what's going on with those weird numbered lots.

Ya it sold for 150us but if the lot sells for more will get the difference but if it sells for less i get 150 . Just never had that happen before.

Nafa gets commission just like any other lot. Imo they shouldn't allow it to happen especially on hot items, it's an auction not a fur store.

I can see nafa taking care of a good customer but trapper should get a premium if furs don't make auction.

Agreed. As much as I’d appreciate a guaranteed price, seems suspect to allow a preferred client to partially cover their needs outside the auction room before the auction. I’m no expert but to me everyone should be bidding for the available goods

Exactly that's one less buyer in the room bidding up a product that for now looks like a shortage that's in hot demand.Ive also got 2 in lot 190001 so how many got whisked away before the auction.

I could see it if these were very small sample lots being sent out as product samples etc. But it seems like a fair number of good quality skins made it into these lots. I have 2 in 190001, and 1 in 190003. My trapping partner has 1 in 190002. I’ve seen others asking the same thig on one of the FB groups here in SK. I’m sure it’ll all come out in the wash but at the moment I’m not sure I like it.

What were the grading descriptions on these lots ?

I-II MED 1-2 so really nice coyotes this was mine anyway lot 190001

190001 XL-LGE I-II Med 1-2
190003 XL-LGE *I Med 1-2
190002 XL-LGE II Med 1-4

Just checked again and my partner has 3 in 190001 as well as the 1 in 190002

They can sell private treaty can't they? Curious what they moved them for

Ya but private treaty is supposed to be after the sale and for items that never sold. You can guarantee that these coyotes would have sold very easily

Be interesting to see how nafa explains this one. First time I have seen this. Looks like quite a few pelts too
