Good Fly Fishing Books

I have been trying to get some reading in this spring and have found a few of the titles I have been but one still alludes me.

I am hoping I can find a copy of The Phenological Fly by Bob Scammell.

Even if someone would be kind enough to loan it to me I will photocopy it and return it. I would buy my own copy but it is out of print, so if someone would rather sell it to me than lend it to me I would certainly be up for that too.

I have Alberta's Trout Highway, and Trout Streams of Alberta and have a line on a couple others so just missing this one.

Anyone that can help me out I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

They can be had on Amazon for a mere $224 :)

Yeah I should have mentioned that I check online and emailed all the used book stores in Calgary that had an email listed.

Looking for people that have an actual copy.

If you can find "Fish and Tell and Go to Hell" by McLelland et all, it is a fantastic read.

The Phenological Fly by Bob Scammell.

Are there not copyright laws in this country?

I can't believe that a book listed at $15.95 (CAD) back in 1995 is now listed by Amazon at ~$100 used and >$150 new.

More dittos for "Fish and Tell and Go to Hell". An excellent compilation.

Sure there are but what is a guy to do when a book can not be purchased through normal channels. A person can legally copy 10% of a book.

Believe it or not it's true. Have you looked for Alberta Trout Highway recently? Before I was able to track down a copy, thanks Don Anderson, my only option was paying $1000 on Amazon or photocopy the book on loan to the Calgary Public Library.

Lots of online book sellers. Don't go through amazon or ebay most of the time for books. I just bought a brand spaking new copy of fish and tell from a book store in Edmonton. With shipping was 20$. Amazon was starting around 50$ plus shipping

Yes, asking you what you wanted for it. Where you located, the price would depend on how it looks.

I was shared a location with a number of these books for sale at retail.

If anyone wants a copy pm me, promise not to buy them all to make a profit and I will let you know where to find it!!!

Thanks again to the nice fella who did the same for me!!!
