437 Non trophy Sheep

Just checked the draws and looks like I have a non-trophy sheep tag for 437.
This would be my first time hunting sheep, and my first time hunting this type of terrain. Pretty excited and also quite concerned. Doing my research and starting my physical prep. Looking forward to the challenge, and hopeful that I can have some success.
I had a P8 for non-trophy, and I have a p15 for trophy sheep for the same zone. Can't wait to get drawn for trophy sheep someday. Hopefully, this non-trophy hunt doesn't change that opinion.
I hope all you hunters are having success with your draws.

Congrats on the draw!
Hope you get one!
I wouldnt hold your breath on getting the trophy sheep draw
That zone has so few tags and you would have to be a 20 min to get draw in like the next 30 years

This^ I know a guy who is P22 and still hasn’t been drawn.

My first ewe hunt was in there and we killed the first night. Enjoy

That and it isn't what it used to be. Better off taking your chances on the mine draw.

He just statistically never going to ever get it
Even if things are better in 20 years

Sarcasm? Cause I thought I saw a general tag up in the Grand Cache area?

Lol, lots of areas with general tags.

437 ewe draw

Hi all,
Just wondering if there might be some information on hiking trails for the 437 zone? I checked MEC and Campers village looking for books on the trail systems but not much of anything. The focus seems to be the park's area and not the Cadomin area.
Any help is appreciated.

Think sustainable Resources publishes a pamphlet, Coal Branch ?, that covers that, mostly quad trails and no shortage of them. Not really a hiking area, they even have the balls to drive down the main roads in convoys. From Cadomin, you have to cross the railroad tracks, which is trespassing and can be ticketed.

I appreciate the information. I will certainly check out for printed resources.
I was not aware that quads were allowed in this area. Maybe I should be rethinking my plan to park and hike in. Sounds like a road trip is in order. Sure hate to be planning for a much harder hunt if I am able to quad in.

It's well worth the drive, unfortunately the Cardinal river road was never repaired. Grizz
