Tikka T3 300 WSM

Thinking of buying a T3 Forest in 300 WSM. For those who own/have owned one of these, is magazine length likely to be an issue when seating bullets close (.025"-.050") to the lands? Would like to use 165 gr. TTSX. Maybe 180 gr. Interbond or Accubond. Can you tell me what the magazine's internal maximum length is?

If you are using TTSX, in all likelihood the rifle is gonna like them jumped a ways out, as Barnes recommends starting at 50 thou off. I have loaded lots of Barnes and never found a gun that would not shoot them very well way off the lands.

As well, I have loaded for many, many Tikkas and mag length was never a hindrance to finding great accuracy.

both my t3s in 300wsm and 270wsm shoot barnes ttsx very accurately. Im at work right now so have no idea what the oal length is but i wouldn't worry.

T3's are all long actions. If your 300 WSM needs more mag length get a 7Mag/300Mag/338Mag magazine and a bolt stop to match.

I load 300WSM with Sierra Match, Sierra GK and HDY SST for T3.
For all three bullets I have determined the max OAL with a dummy round and had no problems loading them in magazine. Finished round is 0.05" shorter.

I just measured my T3 Lite 300WSM magazine. Internal length is 2.894", I load 168 grain TSX to 2.850" and get good accuracy.
