Swarovski Z3 Comparables
I'm just about ready to order another one of these. I have one on a .308 and I thought one would sit nice on my 7mm. I really like the clarity, the BRH reticle, and it might be the lightest scope on the market for its size.
I don't really have alot of experience with other scopes (other lower priced scopes I've used are a Leupold VX1 and a Vortex Diamondback, each of which are a MAJOR step down from the Z3). Any comparables I should look into in the $1000 - $1500 range before going through with this? Should clarify: this is for hunting, not target shooting. |
Zeiss conquest v4. I like it better than my swaro z5 and there pretty much the exact same price.

Have a look at Sightron's SIII series... I mean a look through. Pretty good value IMO .

nothing in the 1000.00 to 1200.00 range
will compare with swaro z-3...zeiss z-4 is quite abit higher in price...closest is the meopta line of scopes.

Vx5 will be very close

Thanks for the feedback. Ordered the Z3 today.

S&B ER series ???? as a comparable . top end vx6 or vx5 - idk
|
leupy vx6hd or 5hd for clarity

Lots of those scopes aren't as light as the Z3.
Good choice OP. I like the Z3 series a lot. My favorite if weight is an issue is the Leupold FX2 6x36mm. Weighs 9.6 oz, much higher optical quality than the Leupold lightweight series, 6mm exit pupil is plenty bright at last light, rugged, dependable ect. |
I really like the performance of my Z3 however I'm currently searching for something with a little more Turret then the Z3 but cannot beat the weight of the Z3 it's my go to for my rifle not sure what's comparable with a second rotation of turret.
